Why Aren’t My Orders Getting Filled?
Tradester routes your orders to your connected broker or prop firm, but actual execution happens at the exchange. An order may remain unfilled for several reasons.
Common Reasons Orders Don’t Fill
Limit price not reached – Limit orders only execute if the market trades at your chosen price. If the market never touches that level, the order will stay open.
Queue priority – Even if the market trades at your price, other orders may be ahead of yours. Exchanges fill orders in the order they were placed.
Low liquidity – If there aren’t enough contracts available at your price, your order may partially fill or not fill at all.
Prop firm rules – Some prop firms restrict order types, sizes, or trading times. Orders outside those rules may be blocked.
Service Provider Issues – Outages with services like Rithmic or your broker can prevent orders from reaching the exchange.
Exchange restrictions – Daily limits, halts, or other exchange rules may stop orders from filling.
